Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary science which combines the study of biology, computer science, applied mathematics, and statistics. It focuses on the research of the numeric data of inorganic molecules, genome, and protein structures.
Biochemistry and Bioengineering
Bioengineering employs principles of math, physics, engineering analysis, and the comprehensive methodology to solve modern challenges on the biological and medical fields.
Neuroscience
Neuroscience focuses on the study of the nervous system, including structure, functions, development, evolution, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology. The study of behavior and of learning are also branches of neuroscience.
Tumor Biology
Tumor Biology systematically studies the structural change of tumor cells and the malfunctions thus created and the general biopathology of tumors. Also, tumor biology studies etiology, pathogenesis, and the related fields of the prevention and treatment of tumors.
Biophysics and Nano-Biomedicine
Biophysics is an interdisciplinary science of biology and physics. It studies the physical quantities in biological systems.
Nano-Biomedicine applies the physical characteristics of nano particles to biomedical diagnoses and treatment technologies. It expands the molecular diagnoses and treatment to a new era.
Microbiology and Immunology
Microbiology is the study of microorganisms, including the research on simple eukaryotic microorganisms, such as viruses and prokaryotes.
Immunology covers the study of the immune system’s functions in all organisms, in states of both health and diseases; malfunctions of the immune system in immunological disorders (such as autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, and immune deficiency) ; and the physical, chemical, and physiological characteristics of the components of the immune system in vivo or in vitro.
